Shop Small with Sam is about connecting consumers, small businesses, and local artisans/vendors in Massachusetts and surrounding states.

My main focus is retail (especially women owned) but I also promote in the areas of food & beverage, lifestyle & beauty, services (e.g., florist, photographer) & more!

I provide various services including but not limited to marketing, promotions, networking opportunities, and creating a market for people's goods by hosting events and providing product placement opportunities.

How it started

I created Shop Small with Sam in February 2023. While on maternity leave, I was looking for something fun I could do while caring for an infant. I have always loved shopping and I consider it one of my favorite hobbies. I especially love shopping at small businesses because the offerings are one of a kind and I can feel good about supporting local.

I decided on creating a Facebook page as it was something that I could run from my phone (especially while my daughter napped on me) where I could promote small businesses, alert consumers to promotions and sales, provide reviews, and even thought about offering personal shopping services. I reached out to three of my favorite small businesses and told them about my idea and asked if I could promote them on my page and they all said YES! With that, Shop Small with Sam begun!

Today

Shop Small with Sam continues to support and promote small businesses as well as local artisans/vendors.

Events are held throughout the year to provide consumers an opportunity to shop a selection of small businesses all in one place. For certain events, 20% from each vendor fee is then donated to a non-profit organization.

As I continue to build upon Shop Small with Sam, my hope is that my services are beneficial and impactful to small business owners, consumers, and you!
